Book Summary:

Dr. Jessie Benn has everything—except Mr. Right. There’s only one problem. The one guy who intrigues her is completely wrong. She’s a veterinarian specializing in horses with a thriving practice nestled between her family’s Arizona ranches, looking for a nice, dependable guy who can take her to the eternities. He’s a visiting Australian business tycoon who’s just a touch bitter, a touch wild, and way more than a touch fascinating. What’s a girl to do?

I had been wanting to read a new book by this author when it popped up as a book to review. I was excited to read it since I love her books. I liked that the tone of the prologue was appropriate to the age of the child. Too often in books, when something is written from a child’s point of view, it is written in a much older voice. I loved the story and the characters. It was hard to put the book down. I liked learning more about vets and about horse shows. I liked seeing how close Jessie was with her family. This is definitely a book I want to read again. The only thing I didn’t like was the editing mistakes. I was tempted to take half a star off my review because of them, but decided to let it go since I loved the story so much.

Rating: 5 stars – I loved it!!!
Content: Clean – mentions of abortions, some violence
