Morgan Clark is desperate. With just her senior year to go at Clarendon College and her scholarship up in smoke, she suddenly finds she can’t qualify for financial aid. Until Morgan finishes and can work full time to pay their rent, her sister can’t even start school.
Josh Hyatt is desperate. Without his degree from Clarendon he won’t be able to join his girlfriend in their dream career which she’s already begun, and he can’t qualify for government grants thanks to his wealthy estranged father’s interference.
Morgan, meet Josh. Josh, meet Morgan. Are they desperate enough to get legally wedded?
Get wrapped up in the knots that new adults Morgan and Josh create for themselves in this marriage of convenience story with legal, ethical, and emotional consequences. You won’t be able to put down this inspirational, clean and wholesome read set on the beach of the beautiful Oregon Coast.
Oh my goodness, this was as good as melty chocolate ice cream with chunks of chocolate heaven.
I loved this contemporary, marriage-of-convenience tale. I enjoyed Josh and Morgan who were strong characters who have overcome some less than perfect in their lives and are still kind (even when they get in deeper and deeper) The scenes between them were always inviting; the kissing I loved. The kissing on the beach – remember the chocolate ice cream? Heaven.
It was fun and flirty in the most escapist kind of way while still not being complete fluff. There were a couple of truisms that tugged on my heart. The twist with the girlfriend added extra, so kudos for that. I must go on record as saying that one character came dangerously close to making me huck my kindle across the room. Good news though, I didn’t. Whew. This is Cinderella, happily ever after fun.
(This the first book I read of this series. I jumped into the middle and didn’t have any difficulties.)
