Blake Wells seems to have it made: the wealthy bachelor life, Kennedy-esque good looks, rising political star. The tabloids love him. But one barracuda date after another drains his hopes for finding a girl who’s sincere.
So when his Chief of Staff insists he take a beach vacation, Blake doesn’t go expecting to meet Cressida, the perfect girl. Shazam! She’s seriously a goddess. And even though she protests that she’s bad luck, he’s a goner.
But when a string of crazy (albeit hilarious) coincidences threatens to sink his career, Blake must choose whether to save his campaign or save the love of his life.
If he wants to get this goddess, he’ll have to break her curse.
eye singeing, drool inducing, lust worthy, (etc., etc.) Cressida (aka Pandora). She is odd, quirky and sooooo beautiful on the inside as well as out.It took me a while to get into this story. However, I loved Georgia and Rider – staff members for Blake. They are the reason that I kept reading. I wanted to see what would happen next with them. I loved when Rider was questioning Cressida about events in history. There were some funny moments.I liked Blake and Cressida. They were nice almost in a Dudley Do-Right kinda way. (Ooooh Nell) I mean, someone has to play the straight man.Yes, it is incredibly unbelievable and surely has some inaccuracies, but it did put a smile on my face and had me cheering for the good guys in the end. People, this is a silly escapism book that is fun. Just go with it.
