Anita's Review 2

I loved this book. It caused sleep deprivation in a good way. Let me explain. Most of the time, I can start a book and read parts over a couple of days. I started reading this ‘for only about 20 minutes’ and didn’t put it down until the end of the book. The action starts immediately and the story zooms from there.

I liked Gabby and Shane. They were multi-faceted characters. I loved their interactions. Gabby in particular is a strong character. I liked seeing more than one side of her personality.

The last few books I’ve reviewed have been a part of a series in which I haven’t read the first books, and it showed. Laura Scott did a nice job of creating a stand-alone without compromising the ‘update’ of the previous characters in the series.

A couple of things to note; this book is a Christian suspense romance. It’s not a knock you up the side of the head religious overtone, but it’s definitely noticeable. It is also fairly heavy on the suspense and lighter on the romance.

Forgotten Memories gave me couple of hours of quick, enjoyable escape. (Despite the bags under my eyes).
