Anita's Review 2

This is my introduction novel to the author Susan Sleeman. I don’t know how her earlier books were, but this was a 5 Star book.
First, it’s a Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense which means it’s a clean read.
Second, the weaving of romance, suspense, a bit of mystery and a few surprises is done well.
Third, it didn’t have a weeping heroine or an alpha male hero – thank you.
Fourth, it’s enjoyable, intelligent and I didn’t feel like my IQ was lower after reading it. (And let’s face it, I need all the IQ I can keep)

I liked the characters and their nicely knit relationships. This book belongs in a series, yet I had no problems reading it as a stand-alone. There were quite a few characters in the book and none seemed frivolous. My favorite was the main character’s grandfather. Yay for a new author to read.
