But the ideas make Mervyn unhappy, until a professor has an idea that lightens everyone’s mood—especially Mervyn’s! The Monster from Halfway to Nowhere… Robbers have kidnapped Mervyn the monster by baking him cakes full of sleeping powder. They think the heist is a success. But the robbers don’t know Mervyn . . . and the people from the town that’s halfway to nowhere.
What a fun and happy story. I love children’s books with a problem, solution and a lovely moral to learn from. I was looking for a book for my grandsons; this fits the bill. What young boys doesn’t LOVE a nice monster who wants to do what’s good for everyone. What mother doesn’t LOVE a nice monster to read about so that her child can sleep at night. I only wish this had been published sooner.
