Author: Rachel Morgan
Series: The Trouble Series Book 2
Release Date: September 5, 2014
Labelled a nerd for most of high school, Livi sees her first year of university as a chance to redefine herself. She can finally enter the popular crowd and maybe even land herself a super hot boyfriend. But Livi’s about to discover that the in-crowd isn’t what she’s always believed it to be, and that maybe what—and who—she wants most has always been right in front of her.
Having been a part of the nerd crowd in high school, I really liked the premise of this book – kind of a version of an adult coming of age story. Everyone needs to figure out who they are. Hopefully they can do it without taking too many prisoners along the way. I liked Livi okay, I loved Adam – loved. I enjoyed their substantial friendship. At times to me, it felt that Livi came across more of a hypocrite than a self-discovering young adult. But all in all, I liked the story.
Rachel Morgan is a great author. I LOVED the first book in this series. I didn’t like this one as much. I really think it has some to do with expectations. I expected a pretty clean romance. I would give this a sketchy clean. So for me, I just liked it.
Content: Kissing, making out, innuendos, a scene where a young man tries to take advantage of a girl, mild language throughout
