“Aumelan is much more than a love story. Ms. Wilson has crafted a masterpiece in which she closely examines the human condition: How far will we go as a society to survive? How far will we go as individuals for compassion? The literary genus is covertly wrapped in a delicious genre romance where readers are submerged in the lives of her characters and the fantastic sci-fi backdrop of their imperfect world. Make no mistake, Aumelan may easily become a classic to transcend time. A definite recommended read!” ~ J.D. Brown, author of Dark Heirloom series.

Thank you for having me here today, Kathy. It’s a real treat. In fact, my characters wanted to join me. So, as I can’t refuse them anything after put them through so much, I decided let them have the reigns.

Chad: What? Just like that? You hand us the reigns and take off?

Charlene: Oh… well, what did you have in mind?

Salana: (leans close to Charlene and whispers) How about a little introduction?

Charlene: (slaps her forehead) Oh, what was I thinking. Of course I’ll introduce you. (steps to the center of Kathy’s blog) Ladies and gentlemen, it’s my distinct pleasure to…

Chad: (tilts his head to Salana) Is she serious? I thought this was informal. I get enough of the pomp at my chieftain meetings.

Salana: (chortles) There was no pomp at the meeting I attended with you. More like an angry mob. Nothing like a welcome party of shouts and hungry energy beams!

Chad: The people were scared and panicked.

Salana: The people were crazy.

Chad: Okay, my people are very different than yours. Our ways are very different.

Salana: That’s putting it mildly. I couldn’t have joined with a more noble cause than to help you free the slaves and eliminate the reason for needing them.

Chad: (smiles) And I couldn’t have been more lucky than to have found you. Actually, luck had nothing to do with it. Fate guided us together for this very cause, I’m sure of it.

Salana: (takes his hand) Among other things.

They look at Charlene who is still talking about how Chad must gain energy from a host to survive.

Chad: (determined) Between Fate and you and me, we’ll find a solution to my people’s need to take energy.

Salana: Oh, I have no doubt. And I’ll be there no matter what, Chad. Friends and family stick together. And you Dae and Allant are my family now.

Chad: And the dearest of friends.

Salana: (scrunches her nose as she watches Charlene) Is she going to talk all day?

Chad: (chuckles) That’s the plan.

Salana: You didn’t really want to tell all to strangers either?

Chad: Not a chance.

Salana: You’re manipulating her.

Chad: Manipulation is key in many circumstances. (he goes to Charlene and whispers in her ear) Charlene, I think we’ve taken up enough of these good people’s time. Perhaps Salana and I will speak another day.

Charlene: (looks at her watch) Oh dear Fates. You’re right. I’m sorry. I promise I’ll let you have more time next time. Thank you again, Kathy, for having us here today. Everyone have a wonderful time checking out Aumelan ~ Blessed of the Gods!
