The reality is I am NOT a crafty person.  I like things simple and uncluttered. Crafts make me crazy and they never turn out like the picture.  I like my recipes simple and family friendly.

So often cookbooks and craft books have very little that appeal to me. Six Sister’s Stuff is different.  Most of their ideas are simple, their recipes are family friendly and all look like something I am willing to try.

As far as the recipes in this book there are so many that look so yummy.  Ok so really most of them are not terribly “healthy” but boy do they all look and sound good.

The crafts in this book like most are not something I’m likely to try.  I will go buy a decoration before I am going to attempt to make one.  The homemade gift ideas and crafts projects are cute and I’m sure most people would love to make them, my daughter being one of those people.

What I really loved were the ideas for neighbor gifts, Christmas Traditions and 12 Day for your True Love.  I’m totally stealing some of those ideas this year!

This is a great Christmas  idea book worth reading!

  1. I enjoyed your review Kathy. And you sound so much like me. I’m more likely to go buy decorations than to make them. I used to do a lot of crafting but time doesn’t allow for it now. As far as the recipes. The holidays are coming and , with them not being that healthy, that’s okay. I resign myself to putting on a few extra pounds at that time! LOL
