Don’t miss this great deal. I LOVED THIS BOOK!
Author: Amy Harmon
Released: October 12, 2013
Ambrose Young was beautiful. He was tall and muscular, with hair that touched his shoulders and eyes that burned right through you. The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and Fern Taylor would know. She’d been reading them since she was thirteen. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never someone Fern thought she could have…until he wasn’t beautiful anymore.
Making Faces is the story of a small town where five young men go off to war, and only one comes back. It is the story of loss. Collective loss, individual loss, loss of beauty, loss of life, loss of identity. It is the tale of one girl’s love for a broken boy, and a wounded warrior’s love for an unremarkable girl. This is a story of friendship that overcomes heartache, heroism that defies the common definitions, and a modern tale of Beauty and the Beast, where we discover that there is a little beauty and a little beast in all of us.

Making Faces by Amy Harmon is the best book I have read in a very long time. In the past few weeks I have read 5 of Amy’s books. Give me another week and I will have her 6th one read too. Amy Harmon is a phenomenal writer. I have loved everything I have read by her but Making Faces has been my favorite. If you haven’t read it you should bump it to the top of your to read list.
There is a good reason this book has a 4.5 star rating on Goodreads and has over 1,200 5 star reviews on Amazon. It is beautifully done. The writing is fabulous, the characters are well developed and likable, the story line is engaging, believable and ultimately unforgettable.
It’s rare that I stay up all night reading. Twice in the past few weeks I have sacrificed sleep to finish a book. Both times were when I was reading an Amy Harmon book. I could not put this book down. When I did I couldn’t quit thinking about it and had to pick it back up. There was no way I was going to be able to sleep until I had heard the end of Ambrose and Fern’s story.
I can’t say enough good about Making Faces. Go get a copy and see for yourself why I love this book. Just be sure you too can stay up all night reading because once you get started you won’t want to put this story down.
