Series: The Husband Maker #1 of 3
Publisher: Orange Door Press

Charlotte’s a girl with nicknames. She may not love being called Charles or Chuck, but the hardest nickname to take is the one she was given in college, the one that’s followed her now for too many years. They call her “the husband maker” and sadly, it fits. Every guy she’s dated since high school has gone on to marry the next girl they date. Not two or three girls down the road. The very next one.
Is she doing something wrong or is she just cursed?
When Kyle Aldsworth enters the picture and sweeps her off her feet, Charlotte begins to hope that maybe she’s not destined to be single forever. A senator’s son with political aspirations of his own, Kyle’s wealthy, handsome, and in need of a wife. Will Charlotte be disappointed yet again, or will she finally be able to make a husband for herself?
With each book of Karey’s that I have read I have come to love her writing more and more. I haven’t read her first book Gifted yet but plan to. (I just saw it on my bookshelf yesterday when I was cleaning). I really liked For What It’s Worth and loved My Own Mr. Darcy. I also loved her novellas – Maggie’s Song & Lost and Found. I was really excited to hear she had a new book coming out.
I loved the concept behind the story-line of The Husband Maker. I was lucky to be one of the first people to get a copy of the finished book to read and I devoured it in a day. Such a fun cute clean book! It’s a perfect escape full of laughs and romance. Karey’s written a squeaky clean book with a fun story-line and likable characters that can be enjoyed by anyone who loves romance. I love when an author can pull off writing a great book that I can recommend without hesitation to anyone!
The Husband Maker is the first of a planned 3 book trilogy focused on Charlotte AKA The Husband Maker. It’s really hard to write a review of this book without giving spoilers. I will say that knowing that there will be two more books was helpful while reading this story. If I thought this book would wrap up in a happily ever after and be the end of the Charlotte’s story I would have been disappointed when I got to the end. The Husband Maker is just the start of Charlotte’s story but we aren’t left with a cliffhanger. There is closure to this part of the story and a door opens to let us see what’s coming next. I can’t wait for The Match Maker which will be released this fall.
There is a great cast of characters in this book. I fell in love with Kyle and Angus. I highly recommend anyone who loves clean romance grab a copy of this book.
