A teacher at a school for the deaf
Can you see yourself in any of your characters?
I see myself in my heroines. Since I write in first person I inject a lot of my own feelings and ideas.
I’m a certified American Sign Language interpreter and I’m a decent cook.

You have won one million dollars what is the first thing that you would buy?
A big enough house that all my family could stay for long visits.

I have two dogs currently. A toy poodle named Bitsy and a standard Dachshund named Murphy. I also had a toy poodle named Prissy who died a few years ago. I am crazy about poodles.
What words or expression do you overuse?
Probably it’s “studied his face” right now but I seem to create a new one for every book. In my first book it was “pulled”
How do you come up with the characters names/personalities?
I use the babynames.com website and try to find names that mean something or match the character somehow. I also like nicknames so it has to lend itself to that.
How many books are in your TRB pile?
At least 50
Titles: do you write the books first and the title comes next or does the title come to you as you write?
Titles come during the plotting phase for me but I don’t always get to keep them =)
Do your friends or enemies ever find themselves in your books?
Yes. And let’s not forget bad dates. I try to insert myself and my husband in some way into each series.
