Book Summary:

Cassidy Christensen is running. Running from the mercenaries who killed her parents. Running from a scheming redhead intent on making her life miserable. Running from painful memories that sabotage her dreams of happiness. With two very tempting men competing for her attention, she hopes she’ll finally have someone to run to, but can she trust either of them? When secrets from her past threaten her family, Cassidy decides to stop running and fight for her future.

Suspence. Romance. Running. This book has all three. I discovered I had acquired a number of Cami Checketts novels as Kindle Freebies, so I decided to see if I liked her book. I liked the book but I didn’t love it. A number of things could have influenced this including not completely being in the mood for this type of book and being interrupted a lot as I read it. I did enjoy reading this book. The characters drew me into this story. I liked Cassidy’s determination and the nicknames she gave people. I think Jesse was my favorite character, but you will have to read it to see if he is your favorite, or if one of the other characters stand out to you. I do look forward to reading the other books in the series.
Rating: 4 stars – Great Book
