Day After by Emi Gayle – Character Interview & Giveaway

day afterDay After by Emi Gayle

Demon crypts. Vampire lairs. Glowing angels. Sexy sirens. The stuff of fiction.

Or so Winn Thomas always thought.

Since being accepted into the fold of the supernatural, he knows better. None of what he imagined is true, but everything he feared is, and binding himself to his Changeling girlfriend until her nineteenth birthday will give him an education far beyond what he’d get at his human high school.

Luckily, Winn’s not giving up, he won’t back down, and he definitely isn’t going to run away with his tail between his legs. After all, only werewolves have tails. Right?

In this, the second of the 19th Year trilogy, Winn’s facing the challenge of one lifetime. If he doesn’t learn the truth about mythological creatures, his girlfriend Mac Thorne won’t either. That means, in six months, when she chooses her final form, she won’t know what to pick.

Winn, though, has his own ideas about Mac’s final selection—plans she knows nothing of.

He intends to have her pick human.

Whether she can or not.

A hat and pipe pop into his hands. “I would go to 1887 … to hang with the one and only Sherlock Holmes. We could solve meeeesteries together.”
If you could be one of the Greek Gods, which would it be and why?
Suze waves his hands in the air. “Oh no.” More hand waving continues. “No one wants to be one of the gods. Stay away. That’s some scary stuff. Yikes.” He leans close. “Why did you ask that?”
Can you see yourself in any of your characters?
He leans forward. “No, why? Are they like mirrors?”
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
“Scooby Doo said to never pick your nose in public. I think that’s the best.”
Mac snorts next to him.
Hidden talent?
“I can squirt liquid out of my—”
“Suze!” Mac stands and covers his mouth.
What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?
“Mine! You said I had one coming out, right? What’s it about?”
Next to him, Mac rolls her eyes.
Nickname?
“I don’t know anyone named Nick. Sorry.”
What do you do in your free time?
“Well … since I can’t pick my nose in public, I—”
“Suze …” Mac growls beside him.
His green cheeks blush pink. Ish.
If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
“Your life.” He turns toward Mac. “That was easy.”
If you had 24 hours alone how would you spend it?
“Don’t answer that, Suze,” Mac says.
He shrugs. “Sorry!”

He scooches down low. “Do you konw who Iron Man is?”
I say, “Yes.”
“I am Iron Man,” he mouths and nods. That follows with a giant, giant-toothed grin.
What is the last thing you bought?
“Schlumps. Made ‘em for Mac.”
I look to Mackenzie for confirmation.
She rolls her eyes.
Craziest thing you ever ate?
“Oh, hmmm …” he taps his chin. “What the grossest thing you can think of to eat?” He points at me. “That. I ate that.”
Okay, Suze, time for some this or that questions …

Thank you so much for hosting today and for letting Suze come and ‘talk’ with you! 🙂

  2. No… because it won’t work out in the end….

  3. Simple answer – No.

  4. No you shouldn’t try to change for anyone. The person should love or like you for who you are.

  5. Lol — nothing more thrilling than learning you have a book, eh, Suze? X)

  6. I would not. If you change yourself to suit someone else, you will never be happy.

  7. I would never give up who I am. There is just no way I even could if I wanted too. If someone wanted me to do that then that person is not worth being with. Thank you so much for having such a generous giveaway!!

  8. Bonnie Hilligoss says:

No, not totally. People should like you for who you are, but if there is something you could change for the better that would please someone you love, then I might try it.
