Blue Sky

Sunny is bereaving the sudden death of her parents. Lewis is a homeless runaway seeking shelter in Sunny’s basement from an early winter storm. When they unexpectedly meet, Sunny wants nothing more than to kill him. After a bizarre hostage situation and a poker game, Sunny realizes that Lewis isn’t out to hurt her. Their initial distaste turns to friendship and love, but Sunny isn’t keen on starting a relationship with a man she knows so little about. Lewis is loyal, and his patience paramount. Sunny is hesitant but her love runs deep and true. They are separated unwillingly, and must struggle and face overwhelming odds to find each other again.

Meet the Sidekicks of Blue Sky
Name: Jack Sparks
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Goals: Take care of his sisters until they graduate from high school
What makes him tick: Whatever
Full of snarkiness and big brother love, Jack can turn anything into a joke. He enjoys picking fights with his father and managing a small souvenir shop. His life won’t be going anywhere until his sisters are grown up and out of the house because someone has to take care of them. One day his estranged brother’s girlfriend shows up. Jack welcomes her into their family and home because he knows it will give his father a conniption. Plus she’s cute and she might know something about where his brother has been for the last few years. That’s Jack.
Name: Meg Noname (Really, in writing this I realized that I never gave Meg a last name. Cruel, I know)
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Goals: Finish internship, pass exams, get her own apartment before her parents and sisters drive her crazy, take care of her grieving best friend, Sunny
What makes her tick: Living with passion
Meg is the epitome of friendship. She’s the kind you’re glad to have on your side because if anybody is out to get you, she’s going to find them first. True, she’s a little intrusive and bossy, but loyalty at her level is hard to come by. When her best friend suddenly loses her parents, Meg fervently stands by her side as she roller coasters through the grief cycle. She even unwillingly gives her consent for Sunny to house a homeless runaway for the winter. Support, sacrifice, laughter, and an occasional slap in the face. That’s Meg.
