Five people I would invite out to dinner (this list probably changes daily, but today I would have to say):
Jason Segel, Aaron Rogers, James Cameron, Dane Cook, and Stephen Colbert
Also, if I had the power to bring back some ghosts from the past, I would invite:
Ray Bradbury, John Steinbeck, Cary Grant, Rock Hudson, and Jane Austen
What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
The whipped cream off of my vanilla latte.
How did you celebrate the sale of your first book?
I got a tattoo. My first and last tattoo. It’s a quote around my wrist that says “She flies with her own wings.” It’s actually the state motto of Oregon, where I currently live.
In your wildest dreams, which author would you love to co-author a book with?
I’m going to tweak this question a bit. In my wildest dreams I would co-write the screenplay to Awaken with James Cameron and then he would direct it.
If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
Far From Normal.
How did you know you should become an author?
People always told me I was weird. It started in high school. I would just say things I was thinking and people would look at me and say “You have the weirdest thoughts.” It kept happening in college. This guy I worked with said, “I would love to live in your brain for a week, just so I could write down all the weird crap you think of.” Well, the more I heard this, the more I started to write down this “weird crap” which, to me, was just my general thought process. Thus was born my writing career.
It’s been four months since Gray and Dylan have seen each other. Dylan’s been traveling in Europe, while Gray has college, baseball, and a life rooted in one place. Gray’s determined to forget Dylan, the girl he fell in love with in First Comes Love. Besides, how do you make a relationship work with an independent loner?
Just when he decides he’s over her, Dylan makes an unexpected entrance back into his life, hoping their steamy romance can start right where it left off. Gray realizes you can tell your mind to do one thing, but you can’t always convince your heart to follow. Dylan realizes she finally has to make a choice between freedom and her relationship with Gray.
Hilarious, intense, inspiring, and emotional, Second Chance shows that love is a journey, and there are never clear road signs or maps to guide you along. You can only navigate with your heart.
