I grew up as a farm girl in Enterprise, Utah, so I have lots of experience moving sprinkler pipe and mucking out calf pens. I can hold my own when handling a tractor as well. I have always loved reading and really like the power of the written word to heal, bring people together, provide comfort and understanding, and uplift.

The many e-mails I’ve received from women who have read my book and wrote to say how much it touched their lives, brought them hope, and led them towards healing in their own trials.
What was your favorite book when you were a child/teen?
Black Beauty and the Anne of Green Gables series
If you could choose only one time period and place to live, when and where would you live and why?
Here and now. It’s worked out pretty well so far. (:
When you were little, what did you want to be when you “grew up”?
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Make your decisions carefully. Then, once you’ve made a decision…make it work! My grandpa, who is now 103, gave us that advice and I’ve always tried to apply it in my life.
What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?
Les Miserables. I LOVE the book, LOVE the musical, and can’t wait to see the new musical movie. It looks AWESOME!!!
How do you react to a bad review?
If there’s constructive criticism, I try to look at it objectively and see if there’s something I can learn. If it’s not constructive, I ignore it. You can’t please everyone.
