Author Interview & Book Giveaway: The Promise & Broken City by D.D. Chant

Welcome to Author D.D. Chant
My name is Dee Dee, I’m twenty five and I live in a beautiful part of Devon, England with my family. I have a younger sister, Amy who is a brilliant guitar player, some chickens, Duck, geese, pheasants, a cat (that adopted us when we moved in!!!) and some Koi.
Broken City is actually my second novel. My first, as my Aunt so delicately put it, was crazy but in my defence I was only sixteen at the time. On the plus side I learnt a lot (or so I hope) and two years later ‘Broken City’ was finished. Due to the support I have received from everyone I have just started work on the next in the Broken City series!
I have written another book ‘The Promise’, which is set in Saxon England it’s the beginning of a series and I have just finished my third book which is set in the distant future and is also the start of a series. It will be available for purchase early next year!!!
I really hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them. I love reading and have a kindle: I read almost anything with adventure and romance in it! I also like to cook and wear impractical high heels!!! And as you might have noticed I have a horrible addiction to exclamation marks!!!

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?

If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
I think telekinetic is the coolest superpower to have!!!

If you could meet one person who has died who would you choose?
My Granddad died 5 years ago so it would be him.

What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
A hot chocolate and marmalade on toast!

Night owl, or early bird?
I am soooooo not and early bird! Guess that makes me a night owl!

One food you would never eat?
Lentils, they are just yuck.

Skittles or M&Ms?
My head just exploded: I can’t decide!!!

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
Because my boyfriend’s a hit man and I know where you live!!! ;-P

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects? 
I’m in the middle of editing my next book and I’ve started work on both the sequel to Broken City and the sequel to The Promise.

What is your dream cast for your book?
Jensen Ackles would play Tom and Captain Awesome from Chuck would play Ryder. I’ve never been able to decide on the female leads though…

What was your favorite book when you were a child/teen? 
Famous Five!!!

When you were little, what did you want to be when you “grew up”?
A formula 1 driver!

Georgette Heyer

What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?

I haven’t watched the Avengers yet and I’m looking forward to that…why??? Because it’s got Thor in it!

I live in England but I vaguely remember that summer is nice.

Broken City

Deeta Richards has never seen the outside world.
