Regular or Diet?
I used to go on wild swings. Regular for a few months until I felt guilty, then back to diet. Then I discovered I didn’t have to vacillate back and forth. Pepsi Next came out- it’s basically half regular, half diet. The best of both worlds and best of all, I don’t feel guilty anymore.

Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
I had a young boy come up and tell me that my book was his favorite and that he passed up going to an NBA game so he could come meet me. There’s no way I would’ve passed up an NBA game to meet me!

What is your favorite Quote?
Do or do not, there is no try- Yoda.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you “grew up”?
I always wanted to be an artist. When I finally accepted the fact I just wasn’t that good at drawing, I started writing.

What do you do in your free time?
Absolutely nothing. Between babies and work, when I do get free time, I don’t know what to do with it. I usually end up vacuuming.

What TV show/movie/book do you watch/read that you’d be embarrassed to admit?
I still watch the Fresh Prince of Bel Air when no one is around.

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or Mormons as some call us.

Pet Peeves?
When someone goes on and on about how much they love my writing, then suddenly realize I’m not the same guy who wrote Fablehaven.

If you could have a signed copy of any novel what would it be and why?
Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury. One of my favorite authors and stories from childhood.

One sentence why people should read your book:
If you read my book, all of your wildest dreams will come true.
