In My Mailbox: LDSBA Edition

While up north I attended an Author/Artist Reception and visited the trade show floor as part of the LDSBA convention that took place last week.

I had the chance to meet a few authors and came home with a bag full of goodies.

I met up with an old blogger friend Heather from Fire & Ice and met a new blogging friend Shanda from LDS Women’s Book Review.

I received a pocket knife from the company Truth Treasures.

The treasure lies within the truth! Our collection of treasures are visual reminders of divine truths. As we remember daily to follow Jesus Christ, the eternal treasure within each truth is discovered. May we use these treasured reminders to be, “TRUE AT ALL TIMES!”

RLEGAY Entertainment gave me 2 tickets to the upcoming Nashville Tribute Band Concert.  Since I won’t be able to travel north again to attended the concert I gave the tickets to my brother and sister-in-law who I stayed with.

I also received 3 music CDs.

Katherine Nelson: Born Brave

A treat bag from S.A. Lifeline Foundation.

A Mother & Child Statue compliments of The Bargain Shoppe which I will stop by one day soon since it is located down south where I live.

A couple scrapbooking books compliment of Finch Family Games.

A Gift Certificate for a free scripture tote from GIF Products in Mesa, AZ.

I received copies of The Rent Collector by Cameron Wright In His Footsteps by Margaret Agard, When the Lights Went Out by Jack Monnett, Missionary Medicine by Richard J. Ingebretsen and Filthy Frannie by Cara Long.

My time on the trade show floor was very limited but I was able to meet a couple authors and get some signed books & a talk on CD.

Coming Home by Susan N. Swann

5 Temptation Killers by Hank Smith

Deadly Undertakings by Gregg Luke

I Want to Be a Missionary by LuAnn Nilson

While I didn’t get copies of their books while at the author/artist reception I met 4 wonderful authors whose books I’ve already got or will be getting soon.  Heather Ostler, Scott Hurst, Eric Hendershot, Andrea Pearson & Tristi Pinkston

This was the first year LDSBA was open to bloggers.  Thanks to Kay Curtiss of Books & Things for the invite!  Hopefully it is an event I will be able to attend again next year.  I only had a couple hour to spend there but it was well worth my time.
