Interview:
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Chocolate peanut butter. Amazing!

What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
My husband cooks out of this world waffles with strawberry and bacon.

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
Because it’s got necromancers, cute boys, and magical chocolate cake!

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
Working on the sequel to AUDREY’S GUIDE TO WITCHCRAFT. Working title=AUDREY’S GUIDE TO SLAYING ZOMBIES AND BREAKING HEARTS.

Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
I just love getting emails from readers. Once a girl told me she was afraid of high school until she read my book. That really touched me.

If you could jump in to a book, and live in that world.. which would it be?
Hogwarts, for sure! What an enchanting world that is. I’d also like to ride on one of Scott Westerfeld’s hoverboards!

What is your dream cast for your book?
Audrey=Katharine Isabelle
Sadie=Gretchen Moll
Julian=Joseph Gordon-Levitt (though at 30, I guess he’s getting a little old to play a teenager. Still, he’s got a baby face, right?)

Is there a song you could list as the theme song for your book or any of your characters?
Spooky Little Girl Like You by The Zombies

What’s one piece of advice you would give aspiring authors?
Love what you do and surround yourself with people who support you in pursuing your dreams.

What’s the craziest writing idea you’ve had?
A historical romance featuring brain-sucking sea monsters. Yeah. Didn’t really work.

What’s your favorite season/weather?
Autumn storms.

Favorite smell?
Lavender…or fresh-from-the-oven chocolate chip cookies.

Print or Ebook?
Ebooks are so amazing, though once in a while I still love a paperback I can abuse.

Chocolate or Vanilla?
Chocolate!

Horror or Romance?
Romance with a dark edge.

Summer or Winter?
Winter!

Harry Potter or Twilight?
Harry Potter, though I did gobble the Twilight series.

Cats or Dog?
Cats! I’ve got a fat one sitting on my lap right now, purring away.
