Interview:
If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
I would choose to not need sleep. IMAGINE what I could get done!!

Night owl, or early bird?
EARLY BIRD. Definitely. I turn into a pumpkin after dinner at night, but when I first get up, I can get SO much done. Which makes me realize that I’d be smart to get up BEFORE my family for writing time. Unfortunately, my husband is a night owl, so . . .

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
It’s a swoon-worthy love story, told in the POV of a swoon-worthy guy ;-D

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
Knee Deep comes out this may about a high school girl in an intense relationship, and torn between two boys – oh, and there’s a production of Romeo and Juliet thrown in there for fun.
Left to Love, the sequel to The Next Door Boys, which you did a giveaway for last October, is just awaiting final approval/publication date from the publisher. And too many projects in the works to count!

If you could jump in to a book, and live in that world.. which would it be?
I really like the life that I have, so none of them. BUT – the beautiful part about being a writer is that I really feel like I get to live the life of the characters I create, and spend a lot of time in their world – that counts for me.

Can you see yourself in any of your characters?
I see myself in ALL of my characters, or at least MY reaction to people I know that I USED for those characters ;-D

Finish the sentence- one book I wish I had written is….
The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Breathe. It’ll all work out.

What’s one piece of advice you would give aspiring authors?
Writing is supposed to be FUN.

Night Sky

After losing Sarah, the friend he’s loved, to some other guy, Jameson meets Sky. Her Native American roots, fluid movements, and need for brutal honesty become addictive fast. This is good. Jameson needs distraction – his dad leaves for another woman, his mom’s walking around like a zombie, and Sarah’s new boyfriend can’t keep his hands off of her.
As he spends time with Sky and learns about her village, her totems, and her friends with drums – she’s way more than distraction. Jameson’s falling for her fast.
But Sky’s need for honesty somehow doesn’t extend to her life story – and Jameson just may need more than his new girl to keep him distracted from the disaster of his senior year.
