If you could travel in a Time Machine would you go back to the past or into the future?
Definitely, the future.  I love learning from the past, but my excitement is for the future.

Night owl, or early bird? Out of necessity I can be either.  My preference is to get a decent amount of sleep and be up early in the morning. I get better inspiration when I’m rested.

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
To feel the inspiration in the Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus Story, is to learn a precious new approach to relationships.

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
Working on a marriage book for men that I’m really excited about, which will be released mid  2012. There will be one for women, too, but first will be the one for the men. It’s going to be different from anything else you’ve seen and will help them connect with their wives like never before, because it will be shared in ways they “get.”

What inspired you to want to become a writer?
Writing began as a way of expressing feelings of love. Expressing was important to me. I loved to learn about life and especially relationships.  With this innate passion for reading and writing my skill began to develop naturally and I realized I’d gained a talent.

Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
One woman spoke about the Holy Stable book and music and she felt like it had completely transformed her Christmas. She had been searching for a way to give her own tender feelings about the Nativity to her family and when she saw and listened to Celebrate the Miracle, she felt like she’d found an answer to her prayers.

What was your favorite book when you were a child?
I loved Dr. Seuss books. My favorite was Happy Birthday to You! Each of us is so unique in the gifts we bring to the world and it celebrates that enchantingly.

What’s one piece of advice you would give aspiring authors?
Find someone to help coach you. It will help you succeed.  And put as many things into place as you can before your book comes out. By that I mean social media, planned speeches, etc.

If you could choose only one time period and place to live, when and where would you live and why?
I love living right now, because of the great technology. I’m definitely not a “techie” but isn’t it wonderful just to have a word processor. And, it’s wonderful to connect with my readers and friends through social media.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you “grew up”?
I wanted to do well at writing as early as the 1st grade, but my conscious thoughts were of being an interior designer, a clothing designer, an architect, or an actress. I’ve always loved creating. It took me a while to realize that writing was not only a way of sharing love, but was a potential career.

What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
This came from a few different people in a few different ways, but to sum it up, it is to accept myself and my work while I’m still in the growing stage. Since we’re always improving, we could also always be telling ourselves, “we’re not good enough, yet.” I’m learning to appreciate my own efforts as they evolve and as I evolve in what I need to share, rather than feeling like I haven’t quite gotten “there.”

What do you do in your free time?
I like to workout.

What’s your favorite season/weather?
Late summer, when the skies are clear and the sun is shining warmly.

What is your favorite way to spend a rainy day?
Covered up in bed with lofty comforter and a book . Or, I love cooking something special in the kitchen.
