Interview:

If you could travel in a Time Machine would you go back to the past or into the future?

I’d go to the past to experience a time without processed foods, pollution, and simpler way of life, but then I’d want to go to the future to experience advancements in health, energy, and technology . . . unless, of course, Skynet has taken over.
What is one book everyone should read?

Their washing machine manual (seriously) and Atlas Shrugged . . . but not necessarily in that order.
If you could have any superpower what would you choose?

My family does have a superpower already!  We have an uncanny ability to beat crowds at most restaurants, movie theaters, theme parks, parking spots, or anywhere else crowds of people roam.  We always marvel how lucky we are when large lines form behind us, but I’ve decided it’s not luck . . . it’s our secret family superpower . . . I hope I haven’t jinxed it.
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Haagen Daz Vanilla Swiss Almond
What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?

I make a special concoction of oatmeal, flax, sesame, and chia seeds, mixed with goat yogurt, berries and a little pure maple syrup for just a touch of sweetness . . . Yum!
Night owl, or early bird?

Both
Pet Peeves?

Hair on soap and dirty bathrooms . . . Yuck!
Skittles or M&Ms?

Skittles
Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.

It’s really, really good.
What inspired you to want to become a writer?

My crappy childhood.
What’s one piece of advice you would give aspiring authors?

Michael Crichton once wrote on his website . . . stop asking questions and just write . . . so I did.
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

Where ever I am as long as it’s with my family . . . and we can keep our family superpower.
What is your favorite Quote?

There are no answers, just questions – Quinn Barrett
Eventually I’ll get tired of it and I’ll need a new one.
Can you see yourself in any of your characters?

I am in all of them.  Especially Even the villains.
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?

It’s a toss up between . . . be kind . . . or . . . kick ass and take names.
Favorite Candy?

Oh candy . . . how I miss you so.  I’ve given up processed sugar, but I used to love a good Baby Ruth bar.  Now I like Panda Natural Licorice, Raspberry . . . It’s very good and all natural.
What was your favorite children’s book?

Little House On The Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder
If you were a super hero what would your kryptonite be?

Starbucks venti, decaf, soy latte, no foam, extra hot
You have won one million dollars what is the first thing that you would buy?

I’d save and/or invest it.  A million bucks isn’t what it used to be.
What do you do in your free time?

I like to walk, exercise, and spend time with the whole fam-damily.
If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?

What The Hell Just Happened?

What’s your favorite season/weather?

I love fall before the craziness of the holiday season.  I like it cool, but not too cold.  I love sweater weather.
What TV show do you watch that you’d be embarrassed to admit?

Sister Wives . . . that is one crazy family.  They’ll be divorced just like the Gosselins by the time TLC is done with them.

Invisible Snow by Quinn Barrett

Invisible Snow is a classic family drama about wealth, power, greed, and redemption. Marriage is a delicate dance of power between lovers, but Kate and Paul Delacroix are strangers caught in a disparate union somewhere between betrayal and truth. Confronting their true selves for the first time results in an epic clash of wills where only one will prevail. The legacy of the family business is at stake, but power is not always about money. Their showdown results in a shocking twist of fate—a destiny Kate never saw coming.
First-time novelist Quinn Barrett takes readers on a riveting journey about personal empowerment and self-realization. She explores conventional perceptions about families and the illusions we attach to them. This complex family drama challenges us to consider the personal choices we make and why we make them.
