Author Interview & Book Giveaway: Generations by Lori Folkman

Welcome to Author Lori Folkman.

Bio:

Lori Folkman has been creating stories since her childhood, back when she would play hooky from school to continue the drama that was unfolding in Barbieland (aka Lori’s bedroom). Her Donny Osmond Doll typically played the romantic lead. Besides playing with her imaginary friends, Lori also enjoys reading, watching movies, exploring Montana’s back roads, and spending summers at the lake. She lives in Northwest Montana with her husband and five children.

Interview:

If you could invite any 5 people to dinner who would you choose?
Since I’m a music lover, I would invite all my favorite musicians: Brandon Flowers, Jared Leto, Gerard Way, Johnny Rzenick, and pianist William Joseph. Not a bad lookin’ group of guys!

If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
I would want to have super-cleaning powers. I would like to be able to clean my entire house in five minutes flat (including laundry). Then I’d have the rest of the day to write.

What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
I’m a cold cereal girl. Strangely enough, one of my favorite kinds is Shredded Wheat–not the mini kind. I like the big old fashioned hunk of wheat that makes me feel like a horse grazing on hay.

Night owl, or early bird?
Night owl. My perfect world would have school starting at 11:00 am.

One food you would never eat?
Seafood. Ick. I’m gagging just thinking about it.

Skittles or M&Ms?
M&Ms. I have no need for candy unless it is chocolate.

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
You should read Generations because none of the characters are vampires, werewolves, pixies, fallen angels, or any other mythological creature (Paranormal Romances are so last decade!).

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
Book two of the Wilder Times series is currently being edited for publication. It will be released in September. I can’t wait until the kiddos start school this fall so I can dive into book three.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Right here. I live in the most beautiful place in America. Although, it would be nice to have a winter home somewhere warm …

Favorite Food?
Guacamole and nuts. But not together.

What’s your favorite season/weather?
I live for summer. It makes the 10 months of winter bearable.

What TV show/movie/book do you watch/read that you’d be embarrassed to admit?
I’ve watched My So Called Life at least five times this past year. I just can’t get enough of it. One season wasn’t enough.

Wilder Times: Generations:

Ben Wilder never really dreamt about becoming a rockstar. It was more of a given—his throne to inherit.
But the more he walks in his famous father’s footsteps, the more Ben sinks into the murky past that left his dad dead.
Katrina Hayes never dreamt about becoming a rockstar either. However, she does spend plenty of time dreaming about one particular rockstar. But when she finally has the chance to meet Ben Wilder, it comes at a cost. The price? Sacrificing a friendship that’s been in place since birth. And that’s just the finder’s fee.
