If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?
Stuck on a deserted island sounds like Heaven to me. I’d want my family, a personal chef and my scuba gear!

What is one book everyone should read?
I’m amazed at how many people don’t think they can read Jane Austen. They are missing out on wonderful stories about family and faith, and of course true love. There is a lot more substance to Jane than just drawing room follies. I think every person should read Pride and Prejudice. And catch a film version as well.

What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
I only allow myself this dish maybe once or twice a year because it’s so unhealthy. My favorite breakfast food in the world is biscuits with sausage and gravy. Yum!

How do you react to a bad review?
First I let my feelings hurt then I study it to see if it is constructive or mean spirited. Most of the time, reviews are meant to be constructive, and I try to understand where the reviewer is coming from and do better in the next story.

If you could jump in to a book, and live in that world…which would it be?
Call me crazy, but I’d go to Hogwarts any day, any time. Harry Potter is the most magical world I have ever visited.

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
You should read THE PRIVATEER because serious historical pirating fiction is hard to find!

The Privateer by Danielle Thorne

Book Blurb:
The reign of piracy is over in the Caribbean, or so it’s believed, until diamonds are discovered in Brazil. Despite the cover-up, Captain Julius Bertrand begins to hear whispers. The Spanish guardacostas are dumping log books, and a new French pirate is on the prowl. Distracted by an avaricious woman he could never love and the beautiful Kate O’Connell who doesn’t need him, he tries to untangle the web of mysterious cargo someone in the New World wants kept secret. When Bertrand’s pirating past returns with the explosive force of a sweeping broadside, he finds he must sacrifice everything his respectable life has brought him, in order to save what matters most.
