Interview:
If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
I actually feel lucky enough to have a superpower. Or at least some would see it that way- I’m able to help bring babies into this world for couples who cannot have babies on their own. (as a surrogate)

Night owl, or early bird?
I’m more of a night owl.

What’s your favorite music genre? Favorite artist? Song?
I like a lot of different kinds of music. I like to listen to the latest popular songs. My absolute favorite is The Beatles! Favorite song? Oh, there’s so many! One of my favorites is And Your Bird Can Sing.

What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?
Richard Paul Evans’ new book: Promise Me. My mom gets me his latest book each Christmas and I’ve loved them all.

Are you a loner or a social butterfly?
I’m more of a loner in person. I was shy as a child and it takes me some time to get to know people and feel comfortable enough to be myself around them.. Of course,on the internet, I’m a social butterfly!

Where is your favorite place to read/write?
I love to read in bed, sometimes curled up on the couch. I write wherever I am when the idea hits me.

You have won one million dollars what is the first thing that you would buy?
A new car, I’ve never had a brand new car. Not sure what, just something NEW, probably an SUV or truck.

How did you celebrate the sale of your first book?
It just happened to be around our family vacation time, so we celebrated for 3 days at Disneyland.

What was your favorite book when you were a child/teen?
I loved the Berenstain Bears!

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
Never a Dull Moment

What is the last book you read?
Concrete Sweethearts by Marsha Murray and then Colonel Texas by Marsha Murray (who happens to be my aunt in law)

Book Summary:
Have you ever wondered what is like to be a surrogate mom? Jill Hancock Reeder describes what it is like to be a “helper”- a stork if you will in children’s terms. Jill has been a surrogate before. She knows what it is like. Illustrations for the book are created by none other than her own children! It is simply beautiful!

If you or your children have ever wondered what is like to be a surrogate, I would highly recommend this book. You can catch a small glimpse of what it is like to be an incubator to someone who can’t have any children of their own. You can teach your children there is more than one way to have children.

And if you yourself are struggling to have children perhaps surrogacy might be the answer for you!
