Interview:

If you could travel in a Time Machine would you go back to the past or into the future?
Given the fact I was deceived by my best friend and love of my life for 30-years, I would go back in time to various moments of my marriage to find out if what I know now would make it easy to see what I was unable to see at the time. I would probably find myself smiling at many obvious clues that I totally missed all those years.

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?
My Bible, my cellphone (ok, ok, a satellite cellphone), and my ice skates. Ice skates? Well, it sure worked out for Tom Hanks when he was stranded!

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Vanilla in an ice cream sandwich–delicious. Pralines and Cream was a favorite of mine while stationed in Korea in 81-82. Yes, Korea. There was a Baskin-Robbins on base.

What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
Cereal. Boring, perhaps. I rotate among two or three “healthy” cereals. Although years ago (while an adult mind you), I would love to eat Lucky Charms!!

What’s your favorite music genre? Favorite artist? Song?
That’s a difficult question. In general, I prefer various contemporary Christian songs/artists, but my 50 CD collection and iTunes playlist includes some rather oddball songs totally outside that genre. If I like it, I download it from iTunes.

Is there anything you need in order to write? (ie Chocolate, quiet, music)
A story? I confess, I have a hard time considering myself a “writer”. I wrote this memoir out of life events. Other than engineering documentation, I didn’t write before and I don’t particularly see myself writing again. But never say never with God.

Night owl, or early bird?
Early bird, usually up at 4-5am and to bed by 9:30.

Skittles or M&Ms?
M&M’s of course. Not enough chocolate in Skittles.

What is your favorite sport to watch on TV?
Ice Hockey. I used to play years ago and still skate on the hockey skates I first bought in high school (circa 1972).

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
To see one person’s true life lesson that God is able to turn evil to good and His grace and forgiveness is available to everyone.

What was your favorite book when you were a child/teen?
I remember enjoying those Mushroom Planet books as a kid one summer.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
It Was Out of Love–sorry, couldn’t resist that one.

What is your guilty pleasure?
Chocolate.

How would you describe the target audience for you book?
My book is a memoir that appeals primarily to women readers, although I have had several men be moved deeply by the story. Anyone dealing with deception and/or unforgiveness, or anyone who likes true love stories would enjoy this book.
