If you could travel in a Time Machine would you go back to the past or into the future?
Can I go both ways? Whenever I wanted? This is a really tough question for me, because I love history, and I love old things, so when I go on vacation, I always try to visit some of the area’s historical sites to learn more about what life was like hundreds of years ago. I’m also currently writing a historical, romantic suspense novel , so I’d love to go back to that place and time, too—strictly for research purposes, of course. HOWEVER, our world is in such turmoil right now, that I’d love to go to the future and find out if we’re all going to get through it—and if not, what we can do to change it.

What is one book everyone should read?
The Book of Mormon

What is the last book you read?
Wildfire at Midnight by Mary Stewart

When you were 12 years old what did you want to be when you grew up?
Perfect question! I was in the 6th grade. My teacher was reading S.E. Hinton’s THE OUTSIDERS to the class, and when she reached the section where Johnny urged Ponyboy to stay “gold” I realized I wanted to write “golden” words just as Hinton had. More than that, I wanted those words to encourage the “golden”—the goodness—in others.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? I love the combination of chocolate and fruit—flavors like raspberry-chocolate chip, cherry cordial-chocolate chunk, blueberry cheesecake with chocolate swirls . . . I think you get the idea.

One food you would never eat?
This is a scary question. The odds are if I say I’ll never do something, I’ll end up having to do it. Like a few years ago, I might have said I’d never eat eel, but when I was in China a couple of years ago . . . yes, I ate eel. Perhaps the best thing for me to say is I never want to eat any organs, like liver or heart or—blood sausage doesn’t sound too appetizing either.

Ronda says:
I’ve been a life-long reader and writer. In fact, one of my favorite lines is from the movie, Anne of Green Gables, when Anne asks Marilla, “Don’t you ever imagine things different than they are?”

“No, I do not . . . “

“Oh, Marilla, how much you miss.”

That’s how I feel about books and writing. Without them, there’d be a large void in my life.
